The importance of home raised puppies
Kennel bred dogs are whelped and raised as livestock, much like that of FARM ANIMALS and then sold to owners who begin trying to help the poor overwhelmed puppy figure out how fit in to a human family when they have no understanding of what it is like to be inside a home. Most of these puppies are bonded to dogs and have not had much human contact. 100% of their lives from birth have been spent in a kennel and they have no idea how to interact with a family of humans.
We believe that the best pet dogs are whelped and raised within a human family, handled and cared for as family members from the moment it is born. This ensures from day one, each lesson a puppy need to be taught can be started as it is needed, and the adjustment from the breeder's home environment to its new family is much less stressful for the puppy and for the new family. The only thing the puppy will have to adjust to is a change of names, faces and style, but nothing like going from 'livestock' to 'pet' status after some wrong lessons have already been learned.
The traditional home breeder has a much smaller amount of breeding dogs in their home. Breeding on a much smaller scale than a commercial kennel. Thus the dogs ( the breeding adults) get the love and support they need. many dogs that are viewed as breeding stock live as breeding stock and when they no longer able to breed they are put down. But home breeders (not all ) but most view their adults as family members first and foremost.
Our vet and families we have serviced over the years that our adults are FAMILY FIRST before they are ever considered apart of a breeding program.
They sleep in our beds , go with us in trips, are known all over Tacoma and have play dates set up once a week to meet with other FUR FRIENDS!
Please support home breeders. They are the ones that are breeding for the love of the dogs. Commercial Kennels are mass producing for the love of PROFIT!
