Even God told us that we are to CARE for these innocent creatures that bring us so much joy and are in my opinion the best medicine for the heart, mind and soul.

maybe that is why the word "Dog" Is "God" spelled backwards.

Surrendering a Shorkie

We only work with Shorkies Shih Tzu and Yorkies at this Time.

Owners will need to contact me personally about their Shorkie they need to rehome and I will be doing all the interviewing to determine the dog status.

email me at pricelesspups@yahoo.com  send me your name and number and tell me a little about your Shorkie you need to find a home for and I will give you a call.

If there is a Shorkie in need of being rescued we will contact our foster families in that state and area to see if they can come and pick it up. There will be a surrender form that the owners will have to sign when surrendering their dog.

Our rescue will be by surrender only. No dogs will be bought or traded for. We will only accept dogs that will be surrender free of charge by their current owners.

Interested in Rescuing a Shorkie

There are a couple of ways we will be operating.

First of all we want people to know we will not charge a re-homing fee to the new owners that adopt a Shorkie by way of our rescue.  However any  new owner will be required to make a 100.00 donation to the local humane society prior to picking their new Shorkie friend. A receipt from the Humane society must be given at the time you pick your new furry friend.

You will also be required to do a meet and greet in a public area with our foster family and the Shorkie to ensure that it is a good match for both you and the dog.

You will need to provide 3 references of people we can call

We will not ship rescue dogs.  They must be placed locally. You must have a vet that we can contact.

The second thing we will be offering is much like a "Shorkie Connection" If you will.

For those are looking to re-home their Shorkie and for those looking to adopt. We will keep a list and connect you with people in your area if we have matches.

This is always best for the dog to be directly adopted from the original family by a new family as it cuts out the FOSTER SITUATION and is less stressful or the Shorkie.

But the surrender status will be the same. Original owners MUST surrender their dog to a new family and NOT CHARGE for the dog they are seeking to rehome.

The new family once everyone agrees the match is a good one.. must donate 100.00 to the local humane society prior to picking the Shorkie up and a receipt must be presented.

 No dogs are to be bought or sold through the use or connections made via 4 love of Shorkies.

Its a pretty simple idea that i think will work well and be a source or support for Shorkies Shih tzu and Yorkies  all over the USA ...

Foster care requirements are that we have to know you or you are referred to us from one of our Shorkie Club of America breeders. We will NOT work with families for foster care we do not know. Please understand this is for the safety of everyone concerned.

Say hello to Rusty he is a Yorkie Terrier Mix . We do not have much back ground on this young baby boy but he is a sweet heart. But he was abandoned and is in need of a home. He is playful and ready to be loved. If you are interested in Rusty please fill out his adoption form and I will call you back. We were told that he is twelve weeks old and that his owners could not keep him.

One of the girls at our vets office BECKY has adopted Rusty!!! We are so happy he will get all the love and attention he deserves!!!
