After blessing us with two beautiful litters, it’s finally her time to retire and enjoy a life full of snuggles, sunshine, soft blankets, and being someone’s whole world.
Let me be VERY clear —
we will be extremely, extremely picky about where she goes. If the perfect home never comes along, she will stay right here with us forever. Her heart means far too much to us to settle.
About Doodle Bug:
• 5 years old
• About 11 lbs — literally the size of a bag of sugar… just with a head and a tail
• Fully housebroken
• 100% crate trained
• Extremely good with children of all ages — she was raised with my grandchildren
• Wonderful with other dogs
• Rides well in the car + travels beautifully
• LOVES treats and belly rubs
• The best bed buddy you’ll ever meet — she cuddles all night
• She’ll sleep with the kids, she’ll sleep with you… she just wants to be close
• Gentle, affectionate, and truly loves being a part of the family energy
Adoption Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Because Doodle Bug is part of our family, her new home MUST meet the following:
• Spay Requirement: She must be spayed within 3 months of adoption. Proof from a licensed veterinarian is required.
• Legally Binding Contract: New owner will sign a legally binding adoption contract protecting her safety, health, and long-term wellbeing.
• No Breeding: She is retired — absolutely no breeding.
• Indoor Home Only: She must live inside the home as a loved family member. No outdoor-only living, no being garage-kept, and no long-term kenneling.
• Quality Veterinary Care: Must receive routine vet visits, dental care, vaccinations, and prompt treatment if she becomes sick or injured.
• High-Quality Diet: She must remain on a healthy, high-quality food appropriate for her size and age.
• Safe, Stable Environment:
– No aggressive pets in the home
– Secure yard if she goes outdoors
– Smoke-free home preferred
– Calm, safe, loving environment
• Daily Love & Attention: She thrives with companionship, affection, and closeness — she is not a dog who can be ignored or left alone all day.
• Return-to-Breeder Clause: If you cannot keep her for ANY reason, she must be returned to us. She is never to be rehomed, resold, or surrendered.
• Transition Updates: We ask for photos and updates during her adjustment period so we know she is happy and settling in well.
