IMPORTANT MESSAGE

All Shorkie Club Of America breeders raise  our puppies  in our homes with all the hustle and bustle of everyday life and around  all of our  human and our family members.

Please take your time  when adopting a new puppy and do not fall in love with the first furry face you see even if they are one of ours! Adopting a new family member is a commitment to a LIFE and should done with  much consideration and research. Even if you do not adopt a puppy from us please use our website as a point of reference to educate yourself and family as to what to look for in your new puppy and breeder. We are always available to answer any questions you may have. We have spent much time and energy building a REPUTABLE website that can help you in searching safely online for your new family member.  So grab a cup of coffee or tea and take your time.  Breeders nor puppy parents should ever be in a rush to place or adopt a puppy! xoxoxo Steffy

AKA The Shorkie Queen!

Shorkies are Great For Children

We get asked all the times are Shorkies good for children. The answer is Yes! Shorkies are are affectionate, friendly and trusting toward everyone and love children. But it is important parents supervise their children and teach them to be kind and gentle with a new puppy.

PLEASE HELP US PROTECT THE SHORKIE BREED!

Say No To Puppy Mills

Shorkie puppies have become so popular that they are now showing up in Pet Stores Puppy Mills all over the USA. We get tons of calls from unsuspecting puppy parents that having health issues with the shorkie puppy they got from a puppy mill or pet store.

JUST SAY NO! do your research and find an ethical breeder!!!

PLEASE HELP US PROTECT THE SHORKIE BREED!

I understand how our economy has effected all of our lives and the financial decisions we make today have to be well thought through and justifiable.  I  wanted  every puppy parent that wants to own a happy genetically sound shorkie to their family to have that option

As many of us we know and understand we get what we pay for. We don't want puppy parents to have to settle for a cheaper shorkie that was not breed correctly just to have a shorkie in their family. Not all shorkies are breed equally, We want all shorkie puppy parents to get the BEST baby they can for their time, love, and money invested.

For this reason I have came up with a Shorkie puppy plan.

This payment plan is very easy to use and understand. My payment plan is for those who are in the market to adopt a shorkie puppy that may not be able to come up with the cost in one lump sum.

Simply  fill out our adoption form and I will call you so we can get to know one another and make sure that a Shorkie is the right breed for you.

If we both decide it this is a good match all the way around we then agree on the length of the payment plan.

We offer:

14 month payment plan   (1yr & 2 months) at 125.00 for 14 months.

12 month payment plan  (1 yr) plan at $146.00 per month for 12 months.

10 month payment plan at $175.00 per month for 10 months

8 month  payment plan at $219.00 per month for 8 months

6 month payment plan at 292.00 per month for 6 months

You set the date that each month you payment will be due. It must be the same date for each month. Example. If you pick June 15th for your first installment... then every month that follow will be the 15th.

Once you send in your first payment  and your agreed upon contract of monthly payments and dates payments are to be made you will be added to our payment plan list. Each time you send in a payment your payment will be posted for you to see and keep count of. Once you get down to your 2nd last  payment due you can then pick your puppy. All puppies must be paid in full before any puppy can leave us.

Once you put money toward the payment plan and the adoption fee of a puppy you can cancel your payment plan at any time but please note we don't give you a refund. All deposits/payments made on your payment plan are non refundable.

If any payments are not received with in a 7 business  day period from agreed upon due date your payment plan will be cancelled on the 8th  business day.

We will however honor the monies you have paid towards a puppy for up to 2 yrs ( 24 months from the date your first installment was made) and you will not be allowed to enter into another payment plan. If you should choose to use your money  you already paid towards a puppy in the next 24 months the full balance will  be due for the puppy you want at that time you pick a puppy . If in the 24 month period you do not pick a puppy (remembering that when you pick  a puppy the balance is due in full at that time minus what you have paid) you will then forfeit all and any monies paid to Priceless Pups.

We are NOT a bank and we don't want to be used as a saving account.

When you send in your payment you will need to either send in postal money orders from the POST OFFICE ONLY. These are the only forms of payments accepted on the payment plans.

I hope we have made it simple and easy for everyone.,

Hope to hear from you soon! xoxoxo Steffy

Please fill out the adoption form if you are ready to start a payment plan.

  • I

To a puppy, the world is brand new and fascinating! He's seeing it all for the very first time and absolutely everything must be thoroughly investigated. Puppies do most of their investigating with their mouths -- "Look at this! What is it? Something to eat? Something to play with?" Murphy's Law says that a puppy will be most attracted to the things he should least have -- electrical cords, the fringe on your expensive oriental rug, your brand new running shoes, etc.

Preventing destructive and dangerous chewing is easier than trying to correct the puppy every second. Look around your home. What objects could be put up out of the way of a curious puppy? Bitter Apple spray can be applied to furniture legs, woodwork and other immovable items. Are there rooms your puppy should be restricted from entering until he's better trained and more reliable? Install a baby gate or keep the doors to those rooms closed.

Take a walk around your yard looking for potential hazards. If your yard is fenced, check the boundaries and gates for openings that could be potential escape routes. Puppies can get through smaller places than an adult dog. If your yard's not fenced, make a resolution right now that your puppy will never be allowed to run off lead without close supervision. He won't ever know enough to look both ways before crossing the street to chase a squirrel. Keep him safe by keeping him on leash!

Use a schedule

Work out a schedule for you and the puppy. Housetraining is much easier when the puppy's meals, exercise and playtimes are on a regular schedule throughout the day. Housebreaking is a whole subject in itself, one there isn't time for in today's short column. Your book on puppy care and training should have a section on housebreaking with suggestions and a recommended schedule. Read through it and create a game plan before the puppy arrives. Many people like to bring their puppies home on a weekend in order to devote extra time to settling in and housebreaking those first few days.

Everybody needs their own place

Decide where to put the dog crate, and have it set up and ready for his arrival. Where to keep the crate will depend on what's most convenient for you as well as the puppy's response. Many puppies don't like to be isolated in one part of the house while their family is in another but some puppies won't settled down in their crates if there's too much activity going on around them. You might have to experiment with different locations until you learn what works best for both you and the puppy.

Visit your vet

Make an appointment with your veterinarian to give the puppy a complete checkup within 72 hours of your purchase. If you don't have a vet yet, ask the breeder or local kennel club for a recommendation. Although the puppy has most likely been health-checked by the breeder (or should've been!), an exam is additional security against health defects, problems that weren't apparent the first time. If your vet offers microchip ID implants, this an excellent time to get one!
